About our interior design work

Hart Habitats works on interior design projects of every size. Some begin at the framing stage, collaborating with architects and contractors on ground-up construction; others are the redesign and decoration of a house that has been lived in for years. Both start the same way — understanding how the client actually wants to use the space.

Each project is built around the client’s own vision rather than a house style. Rooms are layered: antiques alongside modern and vintage furniture, with fabrics, lighting and art chosen to suit the architecture and the light. The result is meant to feel warm, eclectic and timeless rather than of a particular moment.

The work covers the full process — floor plans and elevations, mood boards, specification of finishes, materials, cabinetry and furnishings, and management of budgets and schedules. Commercial interiors for hotels, restaurants and shops are part of the practice as well.
